Another RPG Maker game. This is the third game of the Obscurite Magie series, but how they are related I have no idea, and it appears this is the only one that has been officially translated. There are two versions of this translated, a fan-translated version, and an official translated version by Kagura Games. I played the fan-translated version, which unfortunately had mosaics, but honestly, theres not much to pixelate, so it didn't really detract too much. I read the fan-translation adds some quality of life things, but since I didn't play the Kagura Games version I am not sure what the QoL changes are. The Kagura Games version has no mosaics and therefore uncensored.
That being said, the game is actually pretty decent. The story isn't much to write home about. You play as the red-headed bounty hunter Louise, an expert in combat using daggers/knives. The game begins with her chasing some bandits who stole her keepsake dagger. It turns out they had sold it in the city of Luedidalia, where the game takes place. Basically Luedidalia is a haven for men, they are make rules, and women are just there to satisfy the men's urges. In essence, all the men in the game only want to have sex with anything with a vagina. Coincidentally, the main character just so happens to have a vagina. Basically rape is legal, and commonplace. In fact the first thing Louise sees upon entering the town is a girl being raped by a city guard. Anyways back to the other kind of plot, once arriving in the city, she meets an information broker and captain of the guards who both help her in trying to find her dagger, while also restoring order to the corrupt city.
As far as the h-scenes go, most of the scenes are rape. Most bosses have a game-over rape scene (there are no actual game overs though, it just respawns you outside the boss room so you can try again). Additionally theres a dungeon that has monsters that "love to humiliate women" which gives cut-ins in the middle battle. Theres multiple ways you can prostitute Louise, and later in the game there even a brothel you can work at to get some quick cash. The art of the game is very good and consistent. Unfortunately, if you are into the more modestly chested girls, you may want to stay away as none of the girls in the game fall into that territory. There is a Lust stat in the game which can unlock more scenes. Scenes involving Louise prostituting herself naturally require higher Lust. Lust is gained pretty easily, as most scenes will increase it. There are a couple NPCs in town that when you talk to them, they will molest/grope Lousie which can be repeated to increase Lust.
The battles are un-engaging, press and holding enter to auto attack will pretty much result in winning all the battle, excluding the boss scenes. You may find yourself leveling too quickly and end up tanking/evading all attacks, which would make getting the game-over scenes hard to get, but thankfully, there is a skill literally called "suicide" so you can get the scene that way, or you can just win the battle and the scene unlocks in the gallery. The monsters show up as sprites walking around in the dungeon, so they are not random battles, and thus you can easily avoid fighting if you so wish.
Overall, Obscurite Magie is a pretty good RPG Maker eroge. It took about 5-6 hours to complete the game, which in my opinion is pretty decent length for an RPG Maker game. It doesn't overstay its welcome, but is long enough to give you a sense of accomplishment upon finishing it. The gameplay is fair. The art is great (if you prefer your oppai on the larger size). The plot might not be very strong, but its enough to move the story at least until the next h-scene.
